Integrate with Atlassian Cloud

This help document will guide you through the process of integrating Multiplier with Atlassian Cloud.

By setting up this integration, you'll be able to trigger the following actions in Atlassian cloud:

  • Adding and remove users from Atlassian groups
  • Adding and remove users from Project roles
  • Creating users in Atlassian Cloud
  • Creating groups in Atlassian Cloud
  • Route request approvals to Project leads

Prerequisites

Before you begin the integration process, make sure you have administrator access to the Atlassian cloud site.

Step 1: Generate an API Token in Atlassian Cloud

To generate an API token in Atlassian Cloud, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Atlassian Cloud site.
  2. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner, and then click Manage account.
  3. In the top navigation pane, click on Security.
  4. Scroll down to API Tokens and click on Create API token.
  5. Enter a descriptive label for the token, such as "Multiplier Integration", and click Create.
  6. Once the token is generated, click Copy to clipboard to save the token. Make sure to store it securely, as you won't be able to view it again.

Step 2: Configure the Multiplier's Application

Now that you have generated an API token, you can use it to configure the Multiplier's application. Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Apps > Manage Apps > Multiplier > Configuration
  2. Click on the Atlassian Cloud integration.
  3. Enter the following details:
    • Instance URL: Enter your Atlassian Cloud domain, such as https://yourcompany.atlassian.net .
    • Email: Enter the email address associated with your Atlassian Cloud account.
    • API Token: Paste the API token you generated in Step 1.
  4. Click on Save or Connect to complete the integration.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during the integration process, consider the following solutions:

  1. Double-check the API token, domain, and email address you entered in the Multiplier's application. Make sure you're using your personal API token, and not the organization token.
  2. Confirm that your Atlassian Cloud account has the necessary permissions.
  3. If the issue persists, reach out to our support team for assistance.
