The Bitbucket Connector enables IT teams to seamlessly integrate Bitbucket functionalities into your Multiplier workflows. This integration allows you to automate tasks, retrieve information, and manage your Bitbucket resources directly from Multiplier, including:
Repository and project management
Issue tracking and collaboration
User and team access control
Deployment key management
Setup in BitBucket
Multiplier connects to Active Directory using LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), which allows directory information retrieval over a network. To enable secure and seamless access, you will need to configure key settings, including the server URI, SSL/TLS certificates, and valid credentials.
In order to establish a connection between Multiplier and Bitbucket, you'll need to provide a BitBucket username and an App password.
Retrieving a BitBucket username
To find out your current username, log in to BitBucket using an admin account, and follow the next steps:
Click the cog icon (settings) in the top right corner, next to your avatar.
Access your personal settings page by clicking the "Personal Bitbucket settings" option.
Locate the username field and write down the current value.
Creating an App Password
To create a BitBucket App Password, log in to your BitBucket account as an admin and go to your personal settings page (see steps above) and follow the next steps:
Click the App Passwords option located in the left sidebar, under ACCESS MANAGEMENT.
Click the "create app password" button.
Add a Label for the new App password.
Select the necessary scopes for the new password.
Click the "Create" button.
Copy the newly created app password. You won't be able to see it again, so be sure to copy it before closing the notification dialog.
Setup in Multiplier
To setup the connector, paste the copied values from the previous steps in the corresponding fields, and click the "Connect to BitBucket" button.
