Requesting applications not listed in the catalog

Your App Catalogs can be customized to enable users to manually enter application names not listed in the catalog.

When this feature is activated, users will see an 'Other' option that, when selected, provides a text field where they can type in their desired application name.

To enable this feature, edit your application catalog, and enable the other option.

You can also specify approvers, and transitions for Other applications.

  • If approver has been specified, it will be assigned to the issue as soon as it is created —when the user submits the request

  • If transition has been selected

    • If approver has been specified, we transition after the issue has been approved (we detect this by checking if the issue has been transitioned to the selected Approval Status in the Approval Workflow tab in the configuration page).

    • If approver hasn't been specified, the issue is transitioned as soon as the request is submitted, after the issue is created.

Both configurations are optional. Custom approvers and transitions allow for easy detection of requests that require some manual work.
