Enabling "Request on behalf of"
Updated yesterday

This feature streamlines the process for scenarios where you need to request access for other users, typically a manager requesting access for one of their reports, or for an external contractor.

Overview

When enabled, the request on behalf of feature adds a user selector at the top of the application catalog. This allows the requester to specify which user should receive access to the requested applications, while maintaining proper audit trails and approvals.

How It Works

This feature works in the same manner as the native "Request on behalf of customer" feature that is only available to JSM agents.

When a request is submitted on behalf of another user:

  • The selected user is set as the reporter on the Jira ticket

  • Any approvals required will follow the standard approval workflow configured for the application

Configuration

To enable requesting access on behalf of others:

  1. Navigate to Apps > Manage Apps > Multiplier > Application Catalogs and select your app catalog

  2. Check the "Enable request on behalf of" option

  3. Click Update

  4. Click Update App Catalogs
