Integrate with Adobe

Automate user and license management in your Adobe Admin Console

Updated this week

This help document will guide you through the process of integrating Multiplier with your Adobe Admin Console.

By setting up this integration, you'll be able to trigger the following actions related to user management in Adobe:

  • Adding users to Adobe

  • Removing users from Adobe

  • Assigning licenses to users

  • Removing licenses from users

Prerequisites

Before you begin the integration process, make sure you have:

  • Administrator access to the Adobe Admin Console

  • Access to the email account associated with your Adobe admin credentials

  • The ability to set up email forwarding rules in your email provider (Gmail or Outlook)

How this integration works

Unlike API-based integrations, the Adobe integration uses a secure browser agent that logs in with your Adobe admin credentials.

Because Adobe requires two-factor authentication (2FA), you'll need to set up automatic forwarding of verification code emails to a secure Multiplier email address.

Important: Multiplier generates a unique, secure email address for your integration.

Verification codes sent to this address are used only for authentication and are handled securely.

Step 1: Start the integration in Multiplier

  1. Log in to your Multiplier account

  2. Navigate to SettingsIntegrations

  3. Find Adobe in the list of available integrations

  4. Click Connect

  5. Enter your Adobe admin email address and password

  6. Multiplier will generate a unique MFA forwarding email address (e.g., [email protected])

  7. Copy this email address—you'll need it for the next step

Step 2: Set up MFA email forwarding

You need to configure your email to automatically forward Adobe verification codes to the Multiplier MFA email address. Follow the instructions for your email provider below.

Gmail

Part A: Add the forwarding address

  1. Open Gmail

  2. Click the Settings gear icon (⚙️) in the top right

  3. Click See all settings

  4. Go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab

  5. Click Add a forwarding address

  6. Enter the Multiplier MFA email address you copied earlier

  7. Click NextProceedOK

  8. Important: A verification email will be sent to the Multiplier address. Contact Multiplier support to confirm the verification, or wait for automatic verification to complete.

Part B: Create the forwarding filter

  1. In Gmail, click the Show search options icon in the search bar (the sliders icon)

  2. In the From field, enter: [email protected]

  3. In the Subject field, enter: Verification code

  4. Click Create filter

  5. Check the box for Forward it to and select the Multiplier MFA email address

  6. Click Create filter

Part C: Test the filter

  1. Trigger an Adobe login to receive a verification code

  2. Confirm the email is forwarded to the Multiplier address

  3. Verify that other Adobe emails (not verification codes) are not forwarded

Outlook.com

Part A: Open Rules settings

  1. Click the Settings icon (⚙️)

  2. Go to Mail

  3. Select Rules

  4. Click Add new rule

Part B: Name the rule and configure conditions

  1. Rule name: Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Adobe - Verification Code (2FA)")

  2. Add Condition 1:

  3. Add Condition 2:

    • Select Subject includes

    • Enter: Verification code

Note: Outlook evaluates multiple subject conditions as OR (either condition will match).

Part C: Configure the action

  1. Under Actions, select Forward to

  2. Enter the Multiplier MFA email address (e.g., [email protected])

  3. Click Save to activate the rule.

Part D: Test the rule

  1. Trigger an Adobe login to receive a verification code

  2. Confirm:

    • The verification email is forwarded

    • Other Adobe emails are not forwarded

Step 3: Complete the integration

  1. Return to the Multiplier integrations page

  2. Click Verify Connection or Test Integration

  3. Multiplier will attempt to authenticate with Adobe using the credentials and MFA forwarding you configured

  4. Once verified, the integration status will show as Connected

Troubleshooting

Verification codes not being forwarded?

  • Double-check that the forwarding address is correct

  • Ensure the filter/rule conditions match exactly: [email protected] and Verification code

  • For Gmail: Confirm the forwarding address was verified

Integration failing to connect?

  • Verify your Adobe admin credentials are correct

  • Ensure your Adobe account has administrator privileges

  • Check that MFA emails are being forwarded promptly (delays may cause timeouts)
