Customizing Group Selector Portal Field to Expose The Groups You Want to Display

You already probably know Portal Fields allow you to expose elements of your integrations in the Request creation screen, for you to use them in Post Functions —specially in the Trigger Action Post Function—, but we are now allowing you to configure the portal fields to closely adapt to your needs!

One very requested feature was the possibility of filtering Group by prefixes. We are happy to announce this is now available. Let's see how to do it.

Open the Portal Fields page, by navigating to Apps > Multiplier, and selecting Portal Fields on the left side menu.

The Portal Fields screen will display your currently configured portal fields.

In this case, if we open the associated request type for the Okta Groups portal field, we will notice all groups are displayed.

Lets see how to configure the Portal Field to display only Bergnaum Groups.

Open the Okta Groups portal field to display the configuration.

At the bottom you will find the configuration of the selected source. In this case, the only available option is forcing a prefix. Lets edit the field and enter Bergnaum.

Proceed to save the configuration by clicking Submit.

Now lets refresh the request creation screen, to see which options are retrieved.

As you can appreciate, only the groups matching the prefix are now being shown, allowing you to effectively segregate groups by prefixes!

This feature is currently available for Okta, Jumpcloud, Google Workspace, and Azure AD Group selector portal fields.
